Fish Group for Sweet Rubbernecker Sunday

Some might get the giggle in this Fish Group card. I had a lot of fun making it for Sweet Rubbernecker Sunday this week. When I realized that the green fish I made was an Anglerfish I could not resist using the sentiment from Fishing 2. It just fit so perfect.

The photos are bad today because I just couldn’t stop shaking – sorry. For those that don’t know what an Anglerfish is I found this video for you – I laughed all the way through it.

After seeing the video I am sure a lot of you can see the giggle from the “Good things come to those who bait” sentiment of this card from Fishing 2 stamp set. That is if you have stopped laughing hard enough from that video. I can hardly write this post because I am having a hard time not laughing.

So back to the card… I used card stock and a precut window from The Paper Cut – which Rubbernecker stamps has started to carry at their booths at the Scrapbook Expos. If you have not experienced The Paper Cut, it is fantastic! The card stock is nice and smooth, a good weight so it is not that flimsy stuff, it will stand on it’s own. It is a through and through color – just fantastic card stock! All of it is precut, and scored! Which is a HUGE help for me right now!

I used an embossing folder on the precut window from The Paper Cut called Bubbles that I just love. I use it on a lot of different things but I really like it with water cards.

The “water” in this card I actually found some blue translucent gel from LA Looks in the trail section at Walmart to make the water. The three fish are actually behind the gel and the Anglerfish of course is on the front “baiting” haha!
